Localization for Climate Change Adaptation Project
CLOCALIZATION
CLOCALIZATION – Localization for Climate Change Adaptation is an adaptation development program that aims to bring an inclusive, participatory and strategic approach to climate change adaptation processes in Konak district of Izmir. Funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, this project is implemented in partnership with Konak Municipality and Social Climate Association.
The climate crisis is impacting not only at the global level but also at every layer of local life. Therefore, increasing the adaptive capacity of cities is possible through holistic solutions to be developed together with different sectors, social groups and local actors.
At this point, CLOCALIZATION aims to create an exemplary model that not only Konak but also all local governments in Turkey can take as a guide.
