🎙️ Change Begins Locally: Climate Adaptation Policies for Municipalities, Women, and Youth

Speakers: Gaye Tuğrulöz & Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu

In this episode, we are joined by Architect Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu, Mayor of Konak Municipality. Mayor Mutlu discusses the local impacts of the climate crisis and how municipalities can develop more strategic and inclusive solutions.

The conversation covers Konak Municipality’s adaptation trainings for vulnerable groups such as children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and refugees; dialogue processes with the private sector; and multi-stakeholder collaborations with civil society.

She also shares insights into how youth are included in decision-making, how urban services can be improved for women, and how the CLocalization project has initiated a transformation process in Konak from a strong local governance perspective.
