Climate Justice: Children and Refugees

In this episode, we hear from two representatives of the horizontal adaptation groups within the CLocalization project.
İlkim Derin Ören, a 14-year-old child climate activist, shares her six years of experience working under the Social Climate Association. She discusses how children can actively engage in sustainability, the importance of using child-friendly language in climate education, and the value of participatory environments.
Ferhat Pamuk, a social worker, reflects on his observations from the refugee group workshops within the project. He highlights the key issues that refugees face in meeting their basic needs, communication challenges during integration processes, and how the climate crisis intersects with migration.
This episode provides valuable insight into how individuals from diverse backgrounds contribute to the process and emphasizes the importance of social inclusion in climate adaptation efforts.
