In collaboration with the Social Climate Association and Konak Municipality, the “Canopy Modeling Workshop” was held at Basmane Sanathane within the scope of #HeatActionDay. A total of 50 participants, including children, youth, and women from the Imariye Neighborhood of the Konak district, took part in the event.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about issues such as rising temperatures due to climate change and the urban heat island effect, while actively engaging participants in creative production processes. By using waste fabrics, the practice of manufacturing with recycled materials was encouraged, ensuring the integration of sustainability concepts into daily life. Following the creation of climate-friendly and resilient canopy models with a vision of building resilient cities, the event concluded with an awareness session on the effects of extreme heat.
