We are developing participatory, inclusive and implementable strategies for adaptation to climate change in Konak district. With a holistic approach developed at the local level, this model aims to provide a practical example for other cities.

what is the CLOCALIZATION?
CLOCALIZATION is a climate adaptation project carried out in partnership with Konak Municipality and Social Climate Association. It was implemented to create a participatory, inclusive and implementable strategy.
Participation-oriented
This project, which aims to increase the resilience of Konak district against climate change, is designed in a multi-stakeholder structure.
It aims to develop an exemplary local model by ensuring the active participation of different groups such as women, youth, children, refugees and the private sector.

good practice examples
Within the scope of Clocalization, field visits were carried out in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Barcelona in Spain, and Cascais and Lisbon in Portugal. Concrete steps taken by local governments on adaptation to climate change were examined and successful practices were observed on site.
