In this episode of the CLocalization expert talk series, we welcome Nida Bilgen from ICLEI World Secretariat.

Drawing from her background in architecture and urban studies, Nida shares insights into how cities can become more resilient in the face of climate change.

She explains ICLEI’s approach through its five development pathways: zero-emission, nature-based, circular, resilient, and equitable development.

Through the “Climate Resilience for Communities” project in İzmir, she shares examples of neighborhood-based risk analysis, participatory planning, and inclusive adaptation solutions.

This episode offers an inspiring roadmap for making local climate adaptation efforts more inclusive, data-informed, and impactful.
